Sonic Generations Review
It hasn’t been a great decade for our blue hedgehog friend has it? He started off the new generation with a very bad game (Sonic the hedgehog XBOX 360) and continued with a good game with a massive flaw that makes it unplayable (Sonic Unleashed) So to make up for all the disappointment Sega will have to come out with a massively great game. Did they? YES.
Sonic Generations is a fantastic game and for many reasons too.
1. Sonic is the only playable character
2. There are two different playstyles to try
3. All of your favourite levels in one package
4. Very tight controls and responsive as well
5. SONIC IS THE ONLY PLAYABLE CHARACTER!
So as you can tell we are in love with this game. It is just a great mash up of great levels with a lot of fantastic writing (they take the mick out themselves a lot which is good) you can also play as two totally different Sonics which makes the game longer in a good way. Each level has two different layouts depending on what Sonic you play as, we also found out that some levels have different ways to complete them too.
The story starts with all your favourite characters having a surprise party for sonic; when a mysterious enemy attacks them and captures all of the gang and it’s up to Sonic (and Sonic) to go through all of the old levels they have been throughout their lives to save his friends.
As we said the gameplay is top notch and feels like it should have been the norm since day one.
The game should take you about 15 hours to complete (including all the challenges)
