Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Single Player Review By Jake Moore
So its call of duty time again! Infinity ward and sledgehammer games have teamed up to bring us the next chapter in the Modern warfare series, but is it as good as MW2?
MW3 Continues the story directly from MW2 as the world is now at war with each other. You play as many different characters as you play the single player from AC-130 shooter to an SAS member. The different variety is a welcome addition to the COD series.
Gameplay hasn’t changed much since last time as it still uses the same engine, but can still keep up with all the games released this year, modern warfare 3 like the earlier titles has fantastic set pieces that should not be spoiled. But at times it seems that the same things happens again and again (getting shot down in a helicopter does get boring after 5 times) Graphics seem to be clearer but much duller.
The story itself isn’t too bad but at times it seems that they are just pulling plots out of their backsides and just sticking them in for effect, even though the plot is silly the atmosphere is brilliant. You feel like you are fighting a real war as you go to different countries for different objectives.
Weapons still feel powerful and are great fun to use; there are a lot of new attachments like the hybrid sight which mixes an ACog with a holographic sight. There are also a lot new weapons to use in the battlefield.
The call of duty single player will have you beat it in about 8 hours depending on the difficulty you choose but this is a perfect length for a First person shooter.
Altogether the MW3 Single player is just perfect in its own right. We recommend picking this one up.
